14:02 shouldn't the line be: Alas, poor Threepio! I knew him well. Most of he giant machines and monster are almost done by stop motion. They have no mechanisms to move themselves. They are just models and puppets that have adjustable legs and heads. They only film one frame at a time (basically taking a photo) and then someone goes to the model to move the legs a tiny bit, and they take another picture. And then you play them all like a normal movie. Getting 5 seconds of animation like that takes 120 images, which makes the whole thing really time consuming. Doing it digitally can be faster, but with these models you get the surfaces and the light to look perfect.

I recall seeing this in the theater as a kid and almost freaking out when the walker's foot narrowly missed Luke. It looked like it was coming out of the screen and was going to crush the audience. Fun fact: David Prowse said “Obi-Wan killed your father.”. 1:07 someone please explain this shot. it drives me NUTS. Ohh a dark knight is a double meaning like a “dark night” he only comes out at night lol.

One of the best philosophical films ever created up to date, The Dark Knight. P.S. Thank You, Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer for your indescribably superb groundwork. Great to see a fresh view of these movies from my childhood. Now on to episode 6. 😁. Bruh. I love how vader sounds all outraged when he's like he's just a boy. After you watch all the movies. You should check out the documentary “empire of dreams” its all the behind scenes and George Lucas vision if what he had in his head. I love that Ion canon, the most underrated high powered gun ever. Yoda is a rubber puppet. He shouldn't have worked. Through the magic of those who made these movies and the puppeteering of Frank Oz Yoda became one of the most revered characters in Star Wars.

How they got those models of the walkers to look so realistic is amazingly skillful. Youre beautiful 😁.

Fun fact about the glitch effect in the cave scene: This was added by Lucas after seeing his set director's (Roger Christian) short movie; Black Angel. There is a sword fight scene in that short film where an identical effect is used, and Lucas liked it so much he did the same for Star Wars. Black Angel actually debuted in front of Empire in select theaters in 1980. The original film was lost for many years before being found in 2015. Also 19:03 its. Still can not believe this movie came out 8 years ago.
